Panasonic Introduces 20 Inch 4K Tablet Running Windows 8.1

We knew of this before today’s launch, so I can’t say I’m surprised that Panasonic introduced hours ago a 20 inch 4K tablet. The product will run Windows 8.1 and it’s a pretty gigantic device.
Panasonic Tablet
It’s part of the ToughPad branding and the purpose is to bring a high resolution experience to “professional creatives”. The Panasonic ToughPad 4K unit will come with up to 8 GB of RAM, a SSD of up to 256 GB and there will be two model variations. One will be a standard unit and the other a Pro one. Both will rely on an Intel Core i5 CPU.
The tablet is quite expensive, at $6,000 and if you also buy an optional digitizer pen, you’ll be set back another $370. I’d see this model in ad agencies or companies that do animations or professional graphics design. The stylus sure looks impressive, especially since it costs as much as a full fledged tablet.
