BlackBerry Messenger 7.0 To Come With Free Voice Calls Over Wi-Fi

RIM has announced a new version of BlackBerry Messenger, which brings free Voice calls to BBM contacts over Wi-Fi. Earlier this week, the company also announced that the BlackBerry 10 OS will be launched on January 30th, 2013.
BlackBerry has seen a lot of loss and declining sales thanks to everyone going either the Android or iOS way. RIM’s only chance to save the dying BlackBerry brand is with BlackBerry 10, which is a brand new OS and has a lot of new features. We’ll see what happens with that, but lets talk about the all new BBM 7 for now.
Download BlackBerry Messenger 7.0 With Free Voice Calls Over Wi-Fi
BlackBerry Messenger 7 has the new feature called BBM Voice, which lets you call other BBM contacts for free over Wi-Fi. All you have to do is tap the Call icon or the hardware button to place a free voice call. While on call, you can also continue to chat, send files and multi-task normally. This is very useful for when you want to talk to your friends/family living in another country. BBM 7 will also show you if a contact is available for a Voice call. The new version can also sync with your BlackBerry ID, which takes a backup of your BBM and can be useful when restoring to another device.
BBM 7 beta is currently available for testing to all BlackBerry Beta Zone members. If you have got an account, you can head over to the Beta Zone and wait for the download. You’ll need a BlackBerry device running on BB OS 6 or higher to try the new BBM 7.
