Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Banned In The US After Court Ruling

Apple and Samsung have been engaged in a number of court cases around the world, last week a court in the Netherlands ordered Apple to pay Samsung damages after Apple’s iPhone and iPad were found to infringe on one of Samsung’s 3G patents.
Now it is Samsungs turn as a US court has decided to ban sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US, the decision was handed down by US district judge Lucy Koh, who had the following to say about Samsung’s tablet.
Galaxy Tab 10.1
Although Samsung has a right to compete, it does not have a right to compete unfairly by flooding the market with infringing products, while Samsung will certainly suffer lost sales from the issuance of an injunction, the hardship to Apple of having to directly compete with Samsung’s infringing products outweighs Samsung’s harm in light of the previous findings by the Court.
This is just a preliminary injunction at the moment, and Samsung will no doubt appeal the decision, in the meantime this is not good news for Samsung, the court order will come into effect as soon as Apple posts a $2.6 million bond.

This Is The Most Realistic iPhone 5 Ever (Concept Pictures)

We have seen our fair share of iPhone 5 concepts here at Maypalo, some have amazed us and on the other hand some were just plain stupid. Here we have another concept and to be honest this looks simply amazing, not just amazing but also one of the most realistic we have ever seen.
This iPhone 5 concept shows how an iPhone would look like with a 4 inch screen or greater and not only that, you can also check out iPhone 5 with a liquidmetal casing.
Doesn’t it just look amazing? It is so far one of the best I have seen and one that looks amazingly real.
iPhone 5 is expected to launch later this year bringing with a major hardware redesign and one of those features is a 4 inch screen which everybody seems the most interested in.

Ice Cream Sandwich Native Theme Holo Must to Access Android Apps

A long way down the line after the successful launch of Android Ice Cream Sandwich back in October 2011, Google has now decided to make some adjustments in the usage of the OS on their devices.
Holo Ice Cream Sandwich Native Theme Holo Must to Access Android Apps
The company has brought in the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich’s native theme, dubbed Holo for smartphones and tablets. And, by doing this, Google makes it mandatory to have Holo on any Android device if the users are to access apps, particularly those at the large Android Market.
Earlier, a native UI theme for Ice Cream Sandwich was being talked about, but one that will be specially designed for accessing the Android Market might come as a surprise to everyone.
Google’s default Holo theme is packed with a set of UI widgets and design elements that will help apps developers. This hints that Ice Cream Sandwich OS is now open for third-party developers in such a way as to help in designing widgets and apps that suit the native theme. This does not mean that the company is fully forcing the usage of Holo on anyone, especially the manufacturers.
The native theme will be default for the entire apps, which doesn’t request specifically the device’s default skin. This means that the look and feel of third-party Android skins like the Samsung’s TouchWiz, HTC’s Sense UI, and others will not enter deep into third-party apps unless the developers’ design them that way.
The new move is considered as a clear step by Google to bring about user interface and thematic consistency across the Android devices.
What do you think of Google’s native theme for the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS?

What If Apple Introduces This Liquidmetal iPhone 5: Concept (Pictures)

As each day passes by we got more news regarding the most anticipated smartphone of all time, the iPhone 5. The day we don’t get any interesting news about it; we get concepts showing how the iPhone 5 would look like, and this is one of those.
There was a report some weeks ago about Apple thinking to introduce iPhone 5 with liquidmetal, although it seemed “cool” at that time nobody really showed much interest as it was another of the hundreds of reports about the iPhone 5. But people are now going to get interested and this is the reason why. Check out these amazing iPhone 5 with liquidmetal concept pictures.
So what are some of the features of this iPhone LM (Liquidmetal)? Well here are some of the features:
  • This iPhone 5 LM will have an A6 processor, which is kind of a must-have feature of the iPhone 5 when it gets released later this year.
  • It will have a 10 megapixel camera.
  • 4.5 inch screen (many reports suggest a larger screen).
  • Virtual home button.
  • Liquid metal casing, which this whole concept is about.

What do you think about this concept of an iPhone 5 with liquidmetal? It does look pretty good to me and I would definitely buy one if Apple releases one.
Although no one can be certain what the next generation iPhone 5 will look like, we have a pretty good idea on some of the specs such as a larger screen compared to the current 3.5 inch models. The other things we are certain of the coming iPhone 5 is that it will come with the new iOS 6 and pretty much a bump in specification in every way.
