Pod2g has just released a new video showing iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 on an untethered jailbreak. This is just to reaffirm many users who were doubting that the untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 is only for older version of iPods.
Pod2g of the chronic dev team is working on this untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1. Previously untethered jailbreak was demoed on iOS 5, this time it is for iOS 5.0.1. Unlike previous updates regarding the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.x, this time pod2g mentions that the release is soon. Some more days.
From pod2g
Here is a new video demo of the current status of the 5.0.1 jailbreak running on an iPhone 4.
This is meant to reassure people that were thinking it only works on older iPods.
The jailbreak is near ready for prime time (excluding 4S and iPad 2).
Patches are the same as redsn0w’s. Expect the same level of stability.
Some more days to wait. Be patient, we’re doing our best.
