Samsung had already shown the Galaxy Tab 7.7 slate for a while now, but
apparently not for the US public. The Verizon version of the tablet was
seen at CES 2012, in Las Vegas, packing a beautiful Super AMOLED Plus
display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The device measures 7.9mm
and can be seen in the image below.
Verizon will sell the LTE version of this unit and you must know that
we also get here a 1.4GHz dual core processor and Android 3.2 as the OS
of choice. We’ll probably get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as an
update this year for this 7.7 inch tablet. Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a 3
megapixel cam at the back, 2MP cam at the front and 16GB of storage.
There’s also an unusual aspect: a side mounted infrared port that turns
the gadget into a remote control for other devices.
We have no idea on the pricing or availability, but Samsung and
Verizon promised us that the product will hit the stores in the coming
weeks. As you can see there’s a mark showing that this product is not
recommended for sale in Germany, after the lawsuit started by Apple.
